Dizzy Heights "Nothing Is What It Seems"
Preston Jones, OKG September 14, 2004
The smooth tunes offered by local artist Travis LeBlanc's The Dizzy Heights on his debut album are strongly reminiscent of vintage Cure or maybe even a mellowed out Duran Duran - well, OK, most Eighties synth/electro-pop, in general. But that is not a bad thing - the progressive, avant-pop on display throughout these nine tracks (produced by Casey Friedman at Inner State Studio) makes one wonder why more record execs aren't snapping up quality acts in the making like this one. Visit thedizzyheights.com or catch LeBlanc in action.
